Mike Cundall | Chief Operating Officer, Cantarus

It is always fantastic for our clients and ourselves to be recognised for the great solutions we deliver. The College of Optometrists are thrilled to have won this award and so are we. It’s testament to the significant effort that went into delivering a world-class mobile app experience for their members. The awards night was fantastic, as ever, and it was great to be first on stage to pick up our award!’

Ruth Morgan | Senior Account Manager, Hydra Creative

We were proud and excited to win the ‘Technology for Good’ award at The Prolific North Tech Awards, for the BeeKind Tool we created for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Sadly, the bee population is declining due to habitat loss, with many species now endangered. Our interactive online platform ‘BeeKind’ helps people track just how bee-kind their garden is and suggests plants they can add to further improve their bee-friendly score. While it’s always an honour to have our work recognised by our peers, winning this award has been especially important to us as it has helped to raise further awareness of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and the amazing work they do. Thank you Prolific North.

SailGP is redefining sailing and challenging perceptions of what’s even possible on the water, so we had to redefine what’s possible in an app, creating the most innovative mobile experience in global sport. Our team, and SailGP, pushed themselves and boundaries to achieve this, and what they’ve managed is a world-first mobile experience. Winning the Innovation Award at the Prolific North Tech Awards 2020 – a true celebration of amazing technology in all sorts of categories – was a fantastic achievement and real recognition for our team and their work.

Jayne Fairchild | Marketing Manager, TVSquared

It’s very rewarding for everyone at TVSquared to be acknowledged by the Prolific North Tech judges in the celebration of the success of such a wide range of business talent from the North. We are delighted to have won the Best AdTech Company category as it emphasises how far we’ve come and recognises the hard work of all our team members in making us the best in the attribution industry.

Alexandra Morris | Managing Director, MakeUrMove Limited

In February (before the pandemic) I was awarded the Tech Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 in the Prolific North Tech Awards at a glitzy event in the city of Manchester. Since then a lot has happened as we all know but I have found time to reflect on this fabulous win and understand what it means to me and my business.
I have made it my mission to remove the barriers for women in the tech world and also for non tech entrepreneurs to understand how important growth through technology is. I am passionate about encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs and work closely with university programmes, incubators and business communities as a mentor and advisor. For me this is as important as working on your own goals, we all know how much better we would have been, knowing then what we know now.
Within my business we have been on a journey of change and that change has been driven by the technology, winning this award has helped us raise investment and continue that journey and we are very shortly relaunching our website following the completion of extensive work. I am personally very honoured to have won this award and amongst a fabulous pool of contenders, I am equally humbled. What I love is the support we all have for each other and awards like this from Prolific North demonstrate that sense of community in encouraging talent across all sectors, men and women, new and experienced, young and old – everybody is welcome!
