Manoj Ranaweera

Founder & CEO, Techcelerate Ventures |
Manoj is a Manchester-based Tech Entrepreneur (2004 to 2017) turned Businessman (from 2018) with a special focus on disruptive technologies operating under the recurring revenue model (SaaS).
Manoj founded his first tech company in 2004 when the startup he joined as an investor employee went into voluntary liquidation. Over the next two years, Manoj lost significant cash trying to take the proposition to market. Out of the necessity to meet fellow tech entrepreneurs, learn how to build scalable tech products and build successful tech companies, Manoj started a tech event in Nov 2006 with the help of KPMG and TechCrunch.
This resulted in Manoj building the tech ecosystem of Manchester from 2006 to 2013 (over 100+ events) via Northern Startup 2.0 which eventually became Techcelerate. When GP Bullhound acquired Techcelerate, Manoj ceased the operations of Techcelerate.
Manoj exited from his second startup, in 2015 when US-based Accusoft, Inc acquired it. Manoj then helped Causeway, UK's market leader in software for the construction industry to spin out Livestax.  Later Manoj left Liverstax to found UnifiedVU.
In 2018, Manoj resurrected Techcelerate to help Manchester tech companies secure investment. As part of this, together with Alexandra Morris and trusted friends, Manoj is building a self-supporting network to accelerate the growth of tech companies offering access to finance, know-how, talent and markets.
